The jetpack is controlled by a simple one-touch mechanism in which the player pushes anywhere on the touchscreen and the jetpack fires and Barry rises. The jetpack cuts off when the player lets go, and Barry falls. The player does not control his speed, only his movement along the vertical axis, because he is constantly moving.
The goal of the game is to travel as far as you can while avoiding hazards like zappers, rockets, and high-intensity laser beams. Any of these obstacles would cause Barry's body to fall and slide for an extra distance if he were to collide with them. Golden-colored "Spin Tokens" occur from time to time as the player travels and may be collected. These spin tokens are used in a slot machine (one token equals one spin) at the end of each run, which can award the player with various prizes such as coins, additional spin tokens, a head start, a player revival, and explosives that can propel the player's body for an additional distance after death. If the player does not choose to spin the slot, all remaining spin tokens can be cashed in for 50 coins apiece.
Hold to go up, and release to fall down.
