About Fluxline

Description

Fluxline is an endless runner arcade game with gameplay similar to Slope. Players control a ball rolling along tracks suspended within a futuristic city.

Fluxline

Fluxline gameplay familiar to Slope

If you've ever played Slope, you'll quickly get used to Fluxline. The ball automatically rolls forward with increasing speed, and the player's task is simply to steer left or right to maintain balance on the track.

The biggest difference between Fluxline and Slope lies in the system of magnetic barriers placed along both sides of the track. When the ball enters the magnetic field, the magnetic force pulls the ball off its original trajectory. This makes controlling the ball no longer simply about dodging obstacles but also requires the player to constantly adjust their direction to counteract the magnetic field.

How to play and tips for getting the ball as far as possible

Your goal is to get the ball as far as possible, collect glowing crystals to increase your score, and avoid falling off the track.

Unlike Slope, where the difficulty mainly comes from speed and terrain, Fluxline also requires you to master ball control on the track and adapt to physical impacts that change the ball's trajectory.

Ball controls

Fluxline uses a very simple control system, similar to the ball-rolling game Slide Down:

  • Left arrow key: Move the ball to the left.
  • Right arrow key: Move the ball to the right.

Because the ball always rolls forward automatically with increasing speed, players only need to focus on adjusting direction to keep the ball on the track. Try to collect crystals and avoid being pulled off course by the magnetic seas.

Tips and tricks

Most of the magnetic seas are placed along the edges of the track. Moving closer to the center will make the ball less affected by the magnetic force and also give you more space to maneuver when the track unexpectedly changes direction.

If you see a sea of magnets to your left, proactively steer the ball slightly to the right before entering the area of influence. Conversely, if the magnets are to your right, prepare to keep the ball to the left of the track. Adjusting early is much easier than trying to fight the magnetic pull when you're already too close.
